Dream for my Future

Dream for my Future
By: Robert Pauly

My future is very bright my dad says
I have the potential to do anything
But sometimes I question that
How does he know
He doesn't know what I wanna be when I grow up
I make my own decisions
I want to be a Professional baseball player
But I think about that
What if I am not good enough
What if my failure haunts me today
Then the next day
What if it goes on forever
But I won't let that happen
Whats in the past is in the past
Now its time to think about my future

Ode to Baseball Glove

Ode to Baseball Glove
By: Robert Pauly
Baseball Glove, you help not get embarrassed
When a baseball comes at me I have something to stop it
You give me all the oooos and ahs
When I make a good catch

Baseball Glove! You remind me of a baseball field
Just sitting at Short stop
Waiting to slither at a ball
When it comes to what your best you never hamper me

Baseball Glove! That sound you hear
When the baseball penetrates
And you hear a shot
That moment is when its arrived

Baseball Glove! When I see you
I see a diversity colors
Beige, Black, Brown
You look like my mother's coffee in the morning

Dear Baseball Glove, you make me jubilant
Whenever I need something to do
I always come to you

Where I'm From

Where I'm From
By: Robert Pauly

I am from the sports that take up most of my day

I am from the roaring sound of my electric guitar

I am from "Enjoy the moment while it lasts"

I am from the smell of ribs on a warm summer day

I am from the cries that happen when we do the daredevil stunts

I am from the kids laughing at the park

I am from the long nights I spend doing homework

I am from a place with a scorching summer, and a freezing winter

I am from a place that is not perfect, but I love it

I am from a place where people care

I am from a place called home

Choral Reading

It was fun, and frustrating. Some people didn't cooperate well. But it was fun putting it all together an having a good outcome. It was difficult because we had to come up with something that went with the poem. I would say it was a good experience. It was also fun acting winch my friends that are actors

We can learn to dig deeper into things. Some poems have more layers to them then you think. It makes you think. We can also learn to help and be a group. It taught us how to work together and practice. It was an overall great last assignment to end the last day till Spring Break.
